Internship Description:
Ideal Bite is seeking six Intern Extraordinaires to work with an experienced team of professionals to support all levels responsibilities for the Ideal Bite free daily newsletter including, but not limited to, editorial, sales, and pr. The Ideal Bite intern will gain experience in professional writing, real world experience online and off, and contacts in the green industry.
This internship is unpaid but structured to give the interns maximum exposure to online and green business strategy, with our goal being to provide the interns with solid experience and help the interns find paid work for their talents. This internship is located in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- In-depth research for daily tips
- Correspondence with subscribers
- Assistance drafting, designing, and sending press releases
- Sales prospecting
- Client services support
- Affiliate marketing
- Strategic sales research
- Special projects, as needed
Qualifications & Expectations:
- Must be located in San Francisco, CA
- Minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week
- Excellent research, writing and communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- An independent working style requiring minimal supervision
- Proficiency in computers with working knowledge of Microsoft Word as well as internet research
- Internet and computer access
- Interest and knowledge of environmental issues and socially responsible business is a plus
