About the Role  

We are looking for an Enterprise Corporate Responsibility Leader as a key step toward the continued development and implementation of our Global Enterprise Sustainability Program. This commitment will create broad partnerships across our organization to align on the scale and focus of this program and ensure that we are able to develop the capabilities and initiatives in this area to respond to the specific needs of our customers and other stakeholders. This opportunity will require a broad, strategic leader who can explain emerging trends and best practices on sustainability topics and help to integrate that information into the pace and priorities of our various businesses.

Responsibilities  

  • Delivering an annual corporate responsibility report (update) that reflects the diversity of products, product innovations, social and environmental initiatives that contribute to advancing prioritized United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
  • Engaging across functions and divisions to develop and implement an aligned vision for sustainability and a unified Enterprise sustainability strategy and program
  • Further developing the organizational model to support the Enterprise sustainability program over time. This will begin with providing leadership to Divisional Sustainability Champions & Enterprise Product and Chemical Stewardship Leader
  • Identifying key opportunities for sustainability initiatives and championing the integration of these into the organization
  • Driving development of Enterprise capabilities regarding external and internal stakeholder sustainability engagement, sustainability communications and technical advocacy
  • Driving the Enterprise Sustainability Governance Process, and establishing and maintaining a set of sustainability targets and metrics
  • Helping to build the internal awareness and understanding of the definition, scope and key issues/opportunities surrounding sustainability
  • Serving as a spokesperson on sustainability matters for external communications 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Worldview and demonstrated personal behaviors that align with UN SDGs; values diversity and works well across different cultures
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated leadership in the area of sustainability/corporate responsibility, including at least 3 years of demonstrated success in leading & developing teams
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written
  • Highly tolerant of and able to navigate uncertainty, with a strong ability to pull clarity, simplicity and actionable insights from complexity
  • Strong risk/benefit analysis skills
  • Demonstrated success in quickly developing a large, diverse personal network in a lattice organization
  •  Proficient in using standard computer software and databases
  • Fluent in the English language

Ability:

  • To broadly influence and align stakeholders with diverse needs
  • To quickly learn new content areas and assimilate large amounts of information
  • Travel 50% of the time

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Sustainable Business MBA or comparable course work
  • Experience leading in highly matrixed lattice organizations
