Position Overview:

Seeking a highly motivated individual to perform routine generator maintenance and periodic repairs, on residential and commercial generator systems, at clients job sites in the DFW area. Gensets range from 7kW - 300kW (natural gas, liquid propane or diesel).

Technician applying for this position will be responsible for working independently, reading and understand wiring schematics, generators, controls and associated equipment in order to keep units in good running condition.

Responsibilities:

Duties include preventative maintenance, changing engine oil, testing the system, preparing reports and maintaining accurate records on equipment. Will be responsible for preparing material and tool orders, filing warranty paperwork and providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Must have the ability to diagnose and repair engine and generator problems, estimate time and parts for repairs; perform repairs and complete precise reports for invoicing and restocking purposes.

Must enjoy working outdoors and practice and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, and other required regulations.

Qualifications:

Applicant requires knowledge of emergency power systems. Must have ability to perform intermittent mechanical repairs on engines and have working knowledge of automatic transfer switches.

The ideal candidate will respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for the work performed. This position provides a company truck, so a valid drivers license and clean driving record is a prerequisite.

Must have at least rudimentary computer experience and interact well with others. Enthusiastic attitude, excellent communication ability and great customer service skills are a must. Background screening is required and reviewed every 2 years.

Military experience is a plus.

Compensation: Will provide competitive wage based on skills, experience, and certification level.

This is a temp to hire position. Initial training for certification will be provided, if approved for hire. Applicant will be responsible for maintaining certification as well as future certifications required for advancement.
