Description
We have reopened our search for a skilled natural resources specialist who will contribute valuable work to protect our fish resources in the Northeast Oregon Research and Development Program (NEORD) of the Northeast Region.
The Project Leader is responsible for research studies that address measures in the Northwest Power Planning Council’s Fish and Wildlife Program to provide knowledge for adaptive management of fisheries resources in the Umatilla Basin.
Duties include managing the Hermiston office and supervising project staff.
Qualifications:
Three years’ biological experience in a fisheries or wildlife program with at least one year at the technical or professional level and a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science or closely related degree in biological sciences or three additional years of experience.
One year of experience must have included lead work or supervisory experience. Graduate coursework may substitute for some of the required experience.
Preference will be given for:
1) experience using statistical software to summarize and analyze complex data sets
2) experience writing reports and technical publications
Salary: $3,223- $4,523/month. Salary negotiable. There will be a 3% increase in salary on 2/1/03. Competitive cafeteria-style benefits package.
