Are you interested in an internship with Forum for the Future? We're looking for an organised, enthusiastic and resourceful intern to join our small but busy team working on the finance system. Ideally, you will have some experience in finance and be able to demonstrate an interest in sustainable development. This internship will be based at our London offices.
Responsibilities:
The internship will focus on:
- support for our strategic work in the finance system that focuses on incentivising long-term thinking, innovating financial models that drive investment towards sustainable activities and injecting fresh-thinking from outside of the sector
- research to inform specific projects and our strategy more generally
As an intern, you will benefit from exposure to our work across a variety of projects and activities. You will assist the team with current projects and contribute to our thinking. Tasks will change from week to week but the successful applicant could be:
- carrying out desk-based research to support the work of the finance team
- assisting with some of our communications and social media activity
- contributing to our work with creative ideas and fresh thinking
Qualifications:
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- some experience or interest in finances
- some experience of digital and social media
- a genuine interest in sustainable development and the Forum's work
- experience of computer packages such as Outlook, Excel etc
- an ability to conduct and present research clearly
The length of this internship is 3 months. Full or part-time applications will be considered, although a minimum commitment of 3 days a week is desirable. Lunch expenses up to £5 a day and travel costs from within London (zones 1-6) can be claimed back.
