Energy Maintenance Service, LLC (EMS) is a full service provider of high quality, cost effective products and services to the North American wind industry with an emphasis on Construction, Operations & Maintenance, and Component Repairs including control systems and gear boxes. Based in wind-rich Gary, South Dakota, EMS' de-centralized operations are highly mobile with a labor force that can provide timely service to all major wind developments located throughout North America.

Responsibilities:
In this Position, You Will Have the Opportunity To:
- Ensure Safety of EMS team with a focus on risk assessments, risk mitigation, assist with investigations, seeking root cause and countermeasures while driving safety culture throughout the team and leading safety meetings.
- Be the subject matter expert in all aspects of Wind Turbine Operations and Field Maintenance over various technologies.
- Have oversight of the wind technician work force including coaching, constructive performance appraisals, hiring, new employee orientation and ensuring an overall high-performance team.
- Be responsible for project management of respective projects within your region, including: safe execution, project planning, cost tracking, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within assigned budget while maintaining strong customer satisfaction based on professional communications.
- Advocate business development for EMS; seeking new potential customers, assisting with quotations and contract negotiations.
- Assist in analytic problem solving with a support of standardization and mindset of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
To Be Successful In This Position, You Will Need:
- 5 years of management/supervisory experience.
- 5 years wind turbine O&M experience with various technologies, preferred. If less than 5 years a minimum of 3 years would be considered with other industrial experience combined.
- High school diploma or GED with a preference of an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Ability to climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 200 feet from the ground surface.
- Willingness to travel extensively at times (minimum 50% travel)
- Valid driver's license, with a clean record for the last 3 years.
- Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills.
