Description

Background:

Mo Ranch is a large conference center located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country 100 miles northwest of San Antonio. The Environmental Leadership Program (ELP), has three aspects to its department; a year-round outdoor/environmental education program serving over 30 schools and 1800 participants a year, a traditional residential Christian summer camp, and a small day camp for local children. ELP activities include high and low ropes courses, nature studies/environmental issues, living history, and outdoor skills.

Duties:

    Responsibilities include:

  • instructing various daytime and evening outdoor/environmental education activities;
  • supervising participants during meals, free time, and at the waterfront;

  • assiting in the general operations of the program;
  • maintaining a selected program area;
  • and developing a special project.

Qualifications:

    Qualifications include:

  • a commitment to providing a positive growing and learning experience for youth in an outdoor setting;
  • at least two years of college or related experience;
  • certifications in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding. (certifications can be provided)
