Position Overview

Provide support to minimize delays in successful wind energy project execution by developing technical solutions and/or supporting solution development with a larger engineering team rapidly as needed. Responsible for the site engineering tasks associated with logistics, construction, assembly and commissioning of a large scale wind power plant. This position provides a technical liaison function between the construction contractors, Goldwind USA, and the Manufacturing/R&D/Service divisions of the Goldwind Group.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage solution development of technical problems as required to effectively mitigate issues in a timely manner
  • Conduct and/or coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of technical issues encountered during the project execution
  • Conduct inspections, analysis and develop reports to engineer and communicate technical solutions to problems as they arise
  • Assess and revise assembly and commissioning procedures to improve communication and efficiency of job processes
  • Develop and maintain ongoing records of technical issues and issue resolution throughout the project period to be used as an archive and a foundation for post-project lessons learned sessions

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • BSME or BSEE

and:

  • 3 Years work experience in an industrial product manufacturing or industrial service environment or equivalent combination of higher education and work experience
  • Experience in the wind industry is required
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
  • Experience working in Latin America or Spain.
