Position Overview:
We need an outstanding individual to work as a sales representative at weekend farmers’ markets.This special person will be trained to interact appropriately with existing customers as well as develop positive new customer relationships. He/she will be a hard worker, with a suitable SUV, enclosed truck or van.
We require a mature individual who is passionate for healthy, humane and sustainable, GMO-free food and understands how this key position supports efforts to humanely restore a heritage animal to California.
The position is a long term, part time, year round, rain or shine, independent contractor position. Competitive pay and gas allowance.
Successful candidate will also be physically fit, a quick learner, able to train and begin work the second weekend.
Requirements:
- Honest, mature and reliable
- Dependable SUV, truck, van or suitable vehicle & clean driving record
- Must enjoy driving
- Work on your own without supervision
- Passionate about sustainable, grassfed meat (eating, talking, cooking)
- Cheerful with great people skills
- Work rain or shine on weekends
- Able to lift 30 lb. coolers
- Teachable with a willingness to learn
- Accurate record keeping/cash reconciliation
Qualifications:
- Have sales, cooking or teaching experience
- Are computer literate; proficient with excel and email
- Have a reliable SUV, enclosed truck, van or other suitable vehicle
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Provide excellent references
