Earth Rangers is a registered Canadian charity with the mission of "inspiring children with a lasting passion to build a better future".
We fulfill this mission through dynamic interactive school and community shows featuring our Animal Ambassadors. Our exciting plans for 2008 include the development of a new gallery and theatre at the Royal Ontario Museum and a new virtual world for children.
Earth Rangers is housed at a 60,000 square foot LEED gold facility located at the Kortright Centre for Conservation, north of Toronto. Designed by a leading environmental engineering firm the facility is one of the most energy efficient buildings of its kind. Using secured funding, our plan is to build on this strong foundation and move the facility to energy/carbon neutral and achieve a LEED Platinum designation.
Position Overview:
Currently we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to lead our facility team in implementing new technologies that will allow us to achieve this goal. This position will also explore partnership opportunities in green building design and leadership. The incumbent will have a solid understanding of leading-edge sustainable technologies, developed through hands-on experience. The successful candidate will have superior communication skills and the ability to represent Earth Rangers to a variety of audiences.

Qualifications:
- Passion for education and the environment
- Minimum 5 years senior-level team leadership experience
- Experience with promotions and communications
- Demonstrated confidence in public speaking
- Direct experience with budget management
