Executive Site Producer

SustainLane, the leading Internet and media company dedicated to bringing green to the mainstream, is looking for an executive site producer to oversee strategy and daily production of its three sites: SustainLane.us, advancing sustainable development for state and local government; SustainLane.com, advancing sustainability through consumer product and service reviews; and TheUnsustainables.com, the first animated media property dedicated to green themes. Our team is committed to leading leading the market in creating, marketing and operating industry-defining, entertaining, interactive and high quality online experiences for government and mainstream consumer audiences.

We are looking for a Producer to join the team responsible for the development, launch and ongoing operation of SustainLane's media properties. The Producer will work closely with product development and web designers to create extraordinary user experiences, cross-promote properties, and deliver against our aspiration to be go-to sites. The Producer position requires excellent production, communication, and time management skills, with an exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include: 

* Proactively creating and managing innovative programming schedules and content for the three websites, as well as meeting with various synergy partners to ensure company-wide promotional goals are met
* Generating ideas for improving engagement and satisfaction with the sites, content presentation and organization, and usability
* The ongoing, timely maintenance of those site experiences,
* Daily interaction with an internal staff of designers and developers to complete daily production tasks on time and on budget
 * Working with SustainLane department directors, producers, lawyers, engineers, QA testers, and webmasters as needed to ensure site quality
* Writing and/or reviewing site documentation (proposals, project plans, test plans, etc)
* Coordinating site launches and/or traffic-driving events to ensure optimum site performance
* Working with Ad Sales team to support sponsorships and other revenue-generating initiatives
* Continually assessing new technologies and web services that will provide value to consumers and will help to distinguish the site from competitors 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

* 5-6 years project management experience in the Internet field with experience at start-ups and with online advertising
* 4-year college degree or equivalent with work portfolio
* Experience and knowledge of web site technology, design and production
* Proactive in terms of scheduling and foreseeing business and promotional needs/requirements based on own learned knowledge of that business
* Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects at once
* Able to prioritize projects based on business and promotional goals
* Ability to excel in a team environment with minimal supervision; self-starter
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong sense of ownership and urgency
* Ability to work closely with artists, content developers, developers, and marketing team on day-to-day production, as well as other internal staff like directors, sales, public relations, and lawyers
* Ability to create and maintain accurate budgets and schedules
* Ability to work well with external vendors and clients; great at relationship and people management
* Ability to analyze, track and report traffic and performance
* Knowledge of and commitment to sustainability/the green movement
