Weber Pathways is a non-profit organization in Weber County, Utah, dedicated to hiking trails, mountain biking trails, and pathways for horseback riders, cross-country skiers, snow-shoers, and other non-motorized trail users.
Weber Pathways is now recruiting an Executive Director to lead this dynamic, effective and well-respected non-profit organization.
Position Overview:
The Executive Director is the chief executive officer for Weber Pathways (Pathways) and reports to the Board of Trustees. Policy guidance and direction are provided by the Chair of the Board, the Board and/or the Executive Committee.
The Executive Director is the primary advocate for the mission and values of Pathways. The Director must reflect the culture of the organization - the values, beliefs, rituals, and rules that compose the unspoken but strong assumptions about what matters and "how things are done here." The Director is the primary leader in shaping that culture for the future.
The Executive Director assures that the organization has a long-range strategy which reflects its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress. The Executive Director is responsible for implementation of policies, annual goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors as well as financial, program, and administrative management of Pathways.
Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to:
1. Board Administration and Support:
- Supports operations and administration of Board by advising, informing and cultivating Board members; interfacing between Board and staff; and responding to the Executive Committee's evaluation of the Executive Director
2. Program, Product and Service Delivery:
- Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services in a timely manner.
3. Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management:
- Recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manages organization's resources within budget guidelines following organizational policies and State and Federal laws.
4. Human Resource Management:
- Effectively manages the staff of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations.
5. Community and Public Relations:
- Assures that the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented to relevant stakeholders in a strong, positive manner; and establishes positive and cooperative working relationships with Pathways' partners.
6. Fundraising:
- Oversees fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying the resources that will be required, researching funding sources and submitting proposals; administrating fundraising records and documentation; and establishing strategies to cultivate and recognize donors.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree; ability to oversee the entire non-profit organization of Weber Pathways; management, organizational, financial, computer, communication, grant writing & fundraising skills; must have passion for Weber Pathways' mission
Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 @ 40 hours per week. Benefits: 2 weeks paid annual vacation; Nine paid holidays
