Environmental/Sustainability Associate

First Environment, Inc., a leading environmental consulting services company that provides strategic environmental services throughout theUShas a dynamic career opportunity for an Environmental/Sustainability Associate inWashington,D.C.

Initial responsibilities for this position include:

• Conducting independent technical and historical research on a variety of issues
• Collecting and analyzing quantitative information
• Generating environmental impact profiles for various industries/industrial processes
• Preparing deliverables and presenting findings to clients

Qualified candidates must possess the following credentials:

• An advanced degree in Engineering, Math, Environmental Science or the Physical Sciences
• Minimum 2-3 years work experience, preferably in a consulting setting
• Experience with life cycle assessment; environmental design; green building design; industrial ecology; sustainability
• Team player with a high degree of self motivation
• Strong oral and written communication skills; comfortable with discussing technical issues at presentations and meetings

• Working knowledge of LCA software and concepts a plus!!
