Qualifications:

We are currently seeking an Environmental Specialist for our main office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with the following qualifications:

  • Experience in wetland permitting is required.    
  • Experience in wetlands mitigation design, monitoring and wetlands delineation.    
  • Willingness and interest in doing fieldwork is a must.    
  • Interest and expertise in botany, soils science, wildlife biology, or fisheries/aquatic biology preferred.    
  • Must have knowledge of native and exotic plants and animals.    
  • Some knowledge of federal, State and local government environmental laws, regulations and ordinances.    
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.    
  • Ability to keep accurate records, collect technical data relating to environmental science and submit reports.    
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including data entry and word processing.    
  • Ability to asses environmental quality and potential impacts.    
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment, hand tools, cameras, ATVs, boats and motors.

Minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience required. Experience working with a consulting firm is a plus.
