Position Overview

Loureiro has an immediate need for a mid-level Environmental Scientist or Engineer in our Plainville, CT office. This person will have the opportunity to support projects which integrate both environmental and health and safety compliance requirements developed at the federal, state and local levels, with a focus on environmental compliance for industrial applications/clients.

Responsibilities

  • Key responsiblities for the Environmental Scientist/Engineer will include a mix of both office and field work to be completed under the guidance and direction of a Project Manager.
  • Job tasks will involve compliance assistance for a wide range of environmental media, including wastewater, air, waste, stormwater, spill prevention, reporting under various regulations (e.g. EPCRA, RCRA, etc.) and other media as client needs arise.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or closely related field with 2 to 5 years of experience in environmental and/or health and safety compliance in a consulting or industrial/institutional setting.
  • Candidates must be team-oriented, possess strong communication and technical writing skills, and have thorough working knowledge of MS Windows applications.
  • Training experience a plus.
