Environmental Projects Officer

Kaarakin is a not-for-profit, independent conservation organisation with a focus on saving the black cockatoo. The Black Cockatoo Rehabilitation Centre was established in 2008, with the Black Cockatoo Preservation Society being incorporated in 2006 as a parent association of BCRC. 

Position Overview: 

Black Cockatoo Preservation Society (BCPS) is seeking a highly motivated person with experience in WA biodiversity protection and restoration projects especially linked to community based landcare.

Responsibilities: 

• The Environmental Projects Officer will be responsible with: revegetation, maintenance and weed control measures at the BCPS base "Kaarakin" and targeted surrounding areas.
• They will undertake priority restoration of flora native to these areas implementing recommendations of the BCPS.

Qualifications: 

• This position will require you to have skills, experience and commitment relevant to biodiversity conservation, and have experience in restoration and continued maintenance of native flora.

Compensation: $52,000 - $57,000 + superannuation
