Position Overview
EarthCon Consultants is seeking an environmental professional for a position with our Madison, MS office. Our practice is growing and we are looking for an exceptional professional to join our team.
Responsibilities
Position Duties:
- Perform and manage all tasks necessary to complete a Phase I ESA in accordance with ASTM E 1527-13
- Perform and/or manage other environmental assessment projects such as subsurface investigations, compliance audits, multimedia field sampling, asbestos surveys, etc.
- Develop work scopes, cost estimates and write proposals
- Analyze and interpret field data and prepare/review reports
- Oversee/supervise project staff
- Work with sales and marketing team to develop new clients and expand business
- Manage and grow client relationships
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' experience conducting and managing Phase I ESAs and related environmental projects for an environmental consulting firm
- Minimum 3 years' experience in project management, client management and business development
- Demonstrable experience assessing industrial sites and other complex properties
- Experience in scoping, costing and preparing proposals for ESA projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A can-do work ethic, excellent oral and written communications skills and a team-player attitude
- Asbestos and other building hazards inspection experience preferred
- Experience leading or managing a department or group preferred
