Position Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Engineer will assists in the preparation of reports, specifications, site layout contract drawings, studies, and designs for projects.
Responsibilities
- Compiles and computes a variety of engineering data for site civil, geotechnical, and environmental projects;
- Ability to perform on-site tasks such as construction oversight, coordinate field staff and subconsultants, observation of soil borings, and data collection activities;
- Extracts and processes engineering data from various prescribed sources;
- Ability to perform basic engineering computations and graphically plots data and draws curves;
- Attends meetings with Clients and Contractors;
- Receives and reviews various Shop Drawings and contractor submittals for projects; and
- Prepares and submits permit documents to State and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
Candidate Specification:
- Bachelor's Degree (B. S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering from four-year college or university;
- Licensed EIT or FE required;
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required;
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER a plus;
- 3+ years post-graduate experience in consulting engineering on environmental projects in one of the following;
- General Civil/Utility, or Solid Waste/Land Fill, or Geotechnical Engineering or solid waste disposal facility design; and
- Must have ability to travel to clients and job sites and be willing to attend meetings after regular business hours.
