Description
Duties:
The Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is seeking applicants for the On-Board
Educator position during our spring sailing season. Duties include coordinating
three-hour education sails on the Hudson River and New York Harbor, training
volunteers in environmental education, and assisting the ships crew with
sailing operations. Our programs focus on Hudson River and New York Harbor
ecology, history, and advocacy, for an audience of students grades four to
twelve.
Qualifications:
Degree in natural science, education, or related field,
experience running education programs, and a passion for teaching children
and adults.
Room and board is provided aboard the vessel. Compensation is
commensurate with experience. Positions run from late March to early June.
