Environmental Education Internship

Learn about sustainable farming practices and student-centered teaching on an organic farm and wildlife sanctuary. Experiences focus on providing teachers and learners the opportunity to follow their own ways of knowing through first-hand experiences with livestock, captive wildlife, gardens and native landscapes. Work with students ages preK-14 in and out of the classroom. Learn to handle captive wildlife and a variety of farm animals. Develop programs with other staff for school groups and summer camp as you build curriculum through experience. Engage yourself and children in learning about our relationship to the earth. Daily activities include farm chores, discussion groups, teaching classes and program planning and development.
