Description

The Green Restaurant Association (GRA) is seeking a full-time employee to provide consulting to help restaurants around the United States implement new environmental changes. 

The Green Restaurant Association is a 15 year old national nonprofit organization that helps the restaurant industry achieve environmental sustainability. The GRA has the world's largest database of environmental solutions for the restaurant industry; it works with restaurants across the US, from small individual restaurants to larger chains, to help each restaurant location implement four new environmental changes per year. 

Responsibilities: 

The GRA currently has over 130 restaurants that are committed to implementing four new environmental changes per year. The main responsibility for the Consultant/Researcher is to work with restaurants, recyclers, distributors, manufacturers, and other solutions providers to helps these restaurants implement four new changes per year. The Consultant/Researcher also finds and adds new solutions to the GRA database. Most of the work is office-based, over the phone, and on the computer. 

Job Tasks Include:  

*  Performing Virtual Environmental Assessments
*  Providing Solutions Reports
*  Working with restaurants and vendors to implement four changes per year, such as recycling, lighting retrofits, packaging changeovers, etc.
*  Researching new solutions

Start Date:  September 1, 2005

Salary for this position is commensurate with the relevant professional experience and qualifications. A competitive benefits package is included.
