Description

Ross & Associates Environmental Consulting, Ltd. is looking for a talented, committed, creative individual to join our team of environmental consultants.  We provide a broad range of support to local, state, federal, and international environmental agencies and not-for-profit organizations.  We specialize in bridging interests through collaborative processes and integrated policy and technical analysis to develop sustainable programs, policies and decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new and ongoing projects related to environmental and energy policy and programs, environmental information, innovations, environmental health, and the role of science in environmental policy
  • Assist in the preparation of clearly written, accurate documents, presentations, and reports concerning issues central to the projects
  • Communicate regularly and establish rapport with clients including government officials and others
  • Track multiple, complex, interrelated issues and processes
  • Conduct project-specific research on environmental policies and regulatory programs, activities, and innovations
  • Support all aspects of meeting design and facilitation, including drafting and preparation of meeting agendas, summaries, and background materials
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for teleconferences and meetings
  • Provide project management support

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in environmental policy, information management, economics, natural sciences or related field
  • Demonstrated interest in environmental policy and familiarity with U.S. environmental programs
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under tight timelines with multiple and overlapping tasks and to work in situations requiring self-direction and initiative
  • Proficiency with standard office software applications such as MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • 1-3 years work experience
