EnviroCorps Field Team

Like working outdoors?  Want to get exposure to the nonprofit and environmental community in the Portland-Vancouver metro area?  Interested in environmental restoration and education?  Join our summer EnviroCorps field team as a member or team leader, and these are just a few of the adventures that might await you:

• Front- and back-country camping while performing habitat restoration on an island in the Columbia River
• Helping school children learn about sustainable building practices, natural resources or salmon lifecycles at festivals
• Enhancing some of the fifty miles of scenic trails in Portland's 5,000 acre Forest Park
• Leading at-risk youth in restoration projects
• Facing the challenge of eradication of non-native invasive plant species by injecting the insidious Japanese knotweed plant

Positions start April 19 (leader) and April 14 (member). 

Benefits include a monthly stipend, health insurance, a $2,362.50 AmeriCorps education scholarship, loan forbearance, childcare allowance and many training opportunities.
