Davis Langdon is a construction cost consulting firm working with owners, developers and architects on some of the most exciting high-profile projects around the country for a range of major building types. It is our mission to make a positive value and risk difference for our clients, and become the first point of reference when they are contemplating investment in property or construction work.
We are currently looking for an entry level engineer or architect interested in green building, energy efficiency and energy modeling.
Details of the position include:
* Developing energy models
* Reading architectural and engineering drawings and translating building geometry and design features into the modeling tool.
* Exposure to a number of green building technologies, energy saving strategies and sustainable design practices
* Simulating building energy use, consulting large building projects with the aim of improving energy efficiency
Our ideal candidates should have:
* Engineering or architectural background,
* Proven experience with AutoCAD and a familiarity with building construction documents
* Knowledge of building architectural features, HVAC systems and lighting systems.
* Knowledge of DOE2 and eQuest energy simulation software a plus.
