PECI's technical teams bring solid experience to our clients in commercial and institutional buildings. PECI's engineering team supports energy efficiency best practices through leveraging integrate design, assessing emerging technologies and creating innovative program delivery methods.
Areas of focus are advanced systems or equipment relating to: central heating and cooling, HVAC air movement and ventilation, controls technology, lighting and controls, building exterior and specialty equipment.
PECI's strong tradition of developing commissioning tools and training commissioning providers stresses the need for functionality and persistence of performance. The strongest candidates will have a mechanical engineering degree or meaningful "in-building" work experience with HVAC systems and control applications to help promote the adoption of energy efficiency in commercial buildings
Position Overview:
PECI is looking for a Engineer II - Large Commercial Engineering. This Engineer will play a key role in implementing utility funded energy efficiency programs, performing technical research, identifying new efficiency opportunities, calculating energy savings potential of measures, writing technical reports, conducting field testing of systems, reviewing energy studies and design documents, and supporting other research efforts into energy efficiency for commercial buildings. Specific job responsibilities include supporting existing building commissioning projects, new construction program support, and various consulting assignments.

Background Experience:
- Experienced with improving performance of commercial HVAC and control systems through existing building commissioning
- Design or analysis of energy efficiency opportunities for new buildings
- Experience performing energy savings calculations
- Interest or experience with modeling tools such as eQUEST and Energy Plus
- Proficiency in developing and using spreadsheet analysis tools with complex datasets
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 3 to 6 years of experience with commercial building energy systems design, energy efficiency consulting or energy program implementation
- A high level of interest in improving energy efficiency in commercial facilities
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
