Position Overview  

JE solar is currently hiring highly motivated and professional individuals as Energy Specialist. The position provides a great opportunity for hard working individuals willing to enter the fast-growing and exciting solar industry.

Setters are the first contact with potential customers and create the initial bond between the company and the customer. Setters are responsible for briefly informing homeowners about the benefits of solar and scheduling qualified appointments.

JE Solar Setters receive a competitive base salary plus commission as well as other incentives. This is a face to face, every day outside sales position with opportunity for advancement. Weekend and evening work is required.  

Responsibilities  

Your key accountabilities: 

• Briefly inform homeowners about the benefits of solar
• Obtain and electronically document customer information and permissions for future contact
• Build value in our products through salesmanship
• Perform follow up phone call to qualified leads when required
• Generate qualified leads and high quality appointments
• Setters must reach weekly standards for productivity
• Actively participate in sales training and education provided 

Qualifications 

Your background includes: 

• Ability to speak and communicate ideas clearly in English to a diverse customer base
• Ability to effectively utilize electronic tools and applications provided
• Ability to work hard to meet goals
• Self-motivated personality. Take personal accountability in getting the job done.
• Ability to Multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines; provide timely follow up on open issues.
• Ability to speak Spanish or another language, in addition to English, is a plus
• Ability to walk several miles each day outside in all weather
• High school degree required, AA or BA preferred.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Prior sales experience not required, but door to door sales experience is helpful
• Willingness to canvass door to door, outside, year round
• Friendly and professional demeanor and personal presentation
• Ability to work unsupervised for hours at a time, while also working occasionally in a team environment
• Ability to speak Spanish or another language, in addition to English, is a plus 

Compensation: Base Salary $35,000 with uncapped commission and bonuses. 

Performance Bonuses and Incentives:

Company benefits including partially company paid health insurance, cell phone allowance, use of ipad, mileage reimbursement for company required travel, and participation in company 401k, when eligible.
