~ The Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission (the formal name for the California Energy Commission) was established by the Legislature in 1974 to address the energy challenges facing the state. ~
The California Energy Commission is the state's primary energy policy and planning agency.
Position Overview
The Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission is currently seeking a Energy Resources Specialist III (Supervisory).
Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager in the Renewable Energy Division, the Energy Resources Specialist III (Supervisory) will manage a team of technical and non-technical staff responsible for the implementation and administration of California's Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) program and related renewable energy activities.
- Under the RPS program, the incumbent will manage staff that oversee: facility certification, the online database, the RPS Eligibility Guidebook, changes pursuant to Senate Bill (SB) 350 (De Leon, st. 2015), impacts to the program of the energy imbalance market (EIM) and grid regionalization, and efforts to ensure the RPS program is responsive to a changing market conditions.
- The incumbent also recruits and trains staff, performs periodic employee evaluations and performs other supervisorial responsibilities.
