Position Overview 

Associated Renewable is seeking a certified Retro-Commissioning (RcX) engineer that has experience with multiple building types including commercial, large multi-family and industrial. This position is located at our U.S headquarters in New York City.

Responsibilities 

  • Conduct retro-commissioning on existing commercial, large multi-family and industrial buildings.
  • Identifying and implementing operational and maintenance improvements in client buildings to ensure continued performance.
  • Manage project resources and subcontractors.
  • Identify target clients for the firm and cultivate effective relationships with existing and potential key clients, customers and contractors to develop business. 

Qualifications 

Requirements  

  • Retro-Commissioning (RcX) certification.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelors. 
  • A minimum of 4 years of retro-commissioning, commissioning, energy consulting or related experience in a variety of facility systems and subsystems including controls, mechanical, electrical, life safety and building envelope systems.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing engineering projects.
  • Experience in ASHRAE level energy audits. Experience developing energy savings calculations from retro-fits and energy measures from retro-commissioning.
  • Advanced knowledge in combined heat and power/cogeneration, controls and building envelope.
  • Certification in the Commissioning Process, as an Energy Manager, or LEED Accreditation a plus.
