Description

West Hill Energy and Computing, a nationally recognized firm in the area of evaluation and verification energy efficiency program savings, is seeking an energy engineer to join this growing firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and verification on project-specific energy savings
  • Prepare metering plans, install and remove data loggers, download data, and analyze monitored site data on performance of system
  • Review and comment on prescriptive savings assumptions with regards to engineering accuracy and market applicability
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate energy efficiency measures already installed or to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within a facility
  • Write project specific reports
  • Assist in preparation of proposals and reports

Qualifications:

Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, energy policy and/or energy management
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities with strong communication and writing skills
  • Strong technical and report writing abilities
  • Ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely
  • Completes projects on time and budget
  • Interest in developing alternative solutions
  • Works with integrity and maintains ethical standards
  • Team player who works well collaboratively and is respectful of other team members

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training
  • Candidates with, or pursuing, Professional Engineer certification preferred
  • Experience with engineering modeling software, such as DOE2 or eQuest, is preferred. Familiarity with statistical software, such as SAS or STATA, would be helpful
