We help building owners improve the economic and environmental impact of buildings through sustainability consulting, facility audits, building modeling, green material assistance and renewable energy analysis.
Position Overview
ambient energy is seeking an "ENERGY ENGINEER" with at least one year of work experience in energy, CFD and /or daylight simulation. This position will conduct energy and daylight modeling to inform design decisions on new construction, commercial projects and major renovations.
Qualifications
Candidates should be proficient in DOE-2 analysis. Demonstrated capability in eQuest, EnergyPlus, EcoTect, Energy-10, IES-VE, CFD and/or daylight analysis tools preferred. LEED-AP or experience with LEED desired. Effective communication and teamwork skills are required to integrate modeling into design and make the results truly useful.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a design discipline is required a Master of Science is preferred. EIT or PE preferred.
