The Alliance for Climate Protection was founded in 2006 by Al Gore, Nobel Laureate and former Vice President of the United States. With several million members worldwide, the Alliance is a unique non-profit, non-partisan organization that is committed to educating the global community about the urgency of implementing comprehensive solutions to the climate crisis.
Position Overview:
Are you passionate about fighting climate change? Are you looking to have a direct impact on greenhouse gas emissions? Repower@Home, a project of the Alliance for Climate Protection, is looking for a group of committed volunteers to help consumers get informed about energy-saving technologies. The position requires a time commitment of 5 hours per week.
Your primary responsibility will be to find, catalog, and research energy-saving products that can be used in the home. This is an opportunity to become an energy efficiency expert, while helping others lower their carbon footprint.
The residential sector consumes about a quarter of all the energy used in the United States. There are many easy ways to reduce home energy use, lowering both greenhouse gas emissions and utility bills. But we need your help to figure out which products we should be recommending to homeowners. You'll be helping us build the ground floor of this exciting endeavor.
The research work will be done remotely, so you can do it at work, at school, or wherever you have free time and access to a computer.
