Energy Efficiency Marketing Coordinator

Position Overview: 

Elysian Energy is now hiring an Energy Efficiency Marketing Coordinator to assist in the creation of the Marketing Department from the ground up.  The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing a marketing strategy for the company.  This position offers the exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated energy efficiency professionals. 

Your efforts will help homeowners in Maryland and the District of Columbia to reduce their environmental impact while saving on their energy bills. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Operations Manager, and will be based out of the Silver Spring office in MD.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a marketing strategy for Elysian Energy.
• Evaluate and track success of current marketing efforts.
• Communicate and relay information regularly with Managers, President, and CFO about marketing efforts for specific programs.
• Monitor and maintain search engine optimization along with other online efforts for Elysian Energy, including: Google reviews, “Places” page, Facebook, website, etc.
• Coordinate tabling at conferences, expos, festivals, etc.
• Develop metrics to assess the revenue that can be attributed to various marketing strategies.
• Facilitate the production of consistent marketing materials, including brochures, banners, posters, etc.
• Research advertising opportunities, including print and radio placement.
• Research competitions’ marketing strategies.
• Assist in proposal writing, as needed.
• Develop Elysian Energy e-newsletter.
• Assist with other Elysian Energy programs and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is energetic, personable and self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for contributing to the sustainability movement. Other qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 1-3 years professional experience in marketing
• Proven record of effective marketing campaigns
• Basic understanding of the technical aspects of our work.

Compensation: Compensation based on experience.
