Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Analyst

Energy and environmental consulting firm located in Silver Spring, MD seeks a dynamic analyst to support our work for the U.S. Department of Energy's ENERGY STAR products program.

Responsibilities include: 

• Performing quantitative analysis to estimate the energy savings and market saturation of current and planned programs.  
• Researching technical and market information about energy-efficient and renewable energy products including data collection and analysis of market trend information on ENERGY STAR qualified products.  
• Assisting in the development of ENERGY STAR product criteria for both current and new ENERGY STAR programs.  
• Gathering data and information relevant to specific energy issues, such as product technology, energy generation, and economic and environmental factors.  
• Collaborating with team members in the development of reports and presentations, including written reports, spreadsheets, and graphic materials, resulting from analysis.  
• Providing support for the ENERGY STAR web site including the qualification of products. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in related field such as economics, engineering, science, environmental science, or business.  
• One - three years (or more) of related work experience  
• Experience with market and/or technical analysis  
• Strong writing skills  
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills (experience working with groups desired)  
• Computer skills in MS Excel and Word (experience with MS Access or other analysis/statistical software a plus)
