Our vision is that every student can and shall learn at high levels and, therefore, must have access to all educational resources within the region through the system of public schools served by CREC. We work with boards of education of the Capitol Region to improve the quality of public education for all learners.

Position Overview
The Capital Region Education Council (CREC), is searching for full-time Energy Center Outreach Program Lead within its Technical Assistance and Brokering Services Division (TABS) to provide outreach services to Energize CT Center in North Haven, CT.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties
Under the direction of the TABS program manager and Energize CT Center program administrators the Energy Center Outreach Program Lead will:
- Plan and implement programs and events, such as seminars, contractor events or family events, to draw visitors to center; Increase adult foot traffic at the Center.
- Track center performance, pursuing continuous improvement.
- Report performance metrics, program initiatives, event plans, etc. to CREC and Energize CT Center program administrators.
- Managing rotating exhibits.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with contractors in Energize Connecticut programs vendors, educational agencies, and community partners.
- Update databases, media exhibits in Center as directed by Energize CT Center program administrators.
- Perform independent research to improve topical energy and conservation knowledge and provide professional development to Center staff.
- Supervise center staff.
- Greet visitors, assist with educational tours, and provide energy and conservation information to Center visitors.
Qualifications
Requirements, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, public policy, education, community development, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with successful implementation of outreach and educational programs or related marketing or sales experience. Knowledge of marketing sales principles to develop and implement strategies to promote the Center.
- Experience in establishing professional and well-organized communication with partner organizations, vendors, community and business leaders, and learners; Ability to effectively prepare and present information to various groups.
- Experience and/or background in residential energy and water consumption, residential housing construction and energy efficiency as well as an aptitude to further develop such knowledge is desirable.
- Experience or a background in educating children and adults is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Exceptional oral communication skills, working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; Superior customer service skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications, database and spreadsheet software; experience with LCDs, internet research, etc.
- Position may require limited, local travel.
