Each year our partnerships allow us improve the lives of citizens by providing over 5,000 energy audits of homes and buildings, education services to over 1,000 students and young adults and distribution of 1,800 water savings kits across the Commonwealth. The Pennsylvania PUC recognizes CCI as a Certified Conservation Services Provider.
Position Overview
Conservation Consultants is seeking an Energy Assessor (residential) to work part-Time no more than 20 hours (flexible schedule and weekend hours available).
This posiiton reports to the Program Manager and CCI will provide initial and ongoing training.
Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Conducting in-home energy assessments of customer homes
- Identify all potential low cost/no cost energy efficiency improvement opportunities and educated the homeowners on what they can do to make their homes less expensive to heat and cool, safer, and more comfortable
- Install energy savings devices, such as compact fluorescent lamps, smart strips, etc.
- Complete detailed and accurate data collection and data entry
- Coach the resident on energy savings opportunities and any rebate opportunities available to them
Skills and Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly in the line of work
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile technology
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Reliable and systematic in work habits
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Attentive to detail
- Work independently
- Respectful and patient in serving the needs of all customers
- Must have valid Pennsylvania driver's license and dependable automobile and provide proof of automobile liability insurance coverage at required minimums
- Able to travel locally and on infrequent occasion regionally, and nationally to attend meetings, workshops, and conferences
