EPA's Climate Protection Partnerships Division seeks a dynamic person to help develop and manage a new initiative to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy at the State level through a range of state policies, with emphasis on electricity market rules and regulations. He or she would be responsible for a range of analytical, policy, and collaborative efforts in the area of energy and environmental policy. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and policy background, including experience with energy policy, air quality policy, and utility regulations. In addition the candidate will have a proven ability in project management, will be strong collaborator, and have experience with communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
Duties would include identifying and managing state level pilot programs to advance environmentally-friendly energy policies in the energy efficiency, distributed generation, and renewables areas, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, developing and documenting policy best practices, undertaking gap analysis, developing and presenting strong business cases for clean energy policies, documenting program and policy effectiveness, and communicating with broad stakeholder groups.
Salary Range: $41,185- $93,742 per year
