PRIZIM is hiring an Energy Analyst to support environmental programs of one of our Federal agency clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support agency energy policy implementation and the development of an energy master plan
- Planning support for the energy budget and implementation schedule
- Develop/maintain energy program reports, metrics and performance indicators
- Advise the client on energy conservation and awareness programs
- Prepare annual energy reports for the client
- Serve as a commissioning agent throughout the planning, design, construction and occupancy phases of client building projects
- Develop/assist in project identification and justification using life cycle cost analysis
Qualifications:
Applicants for the position should have professional-level knowledge of the following:
- Energy policy (and how it impacts Federal agencies)
- Building energy performance concepts
- Identifying, estimating and recommending energy performance projects
- Energy performance benchmarking (using tools like Portfolio Manager)
Applicants for this position should have the following qualifications:
- Either a background in engineering with some policy experience or a background in policy with considerable energy experience.
- Certified Energy Manager or EIT a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication, planning and problem solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Experience with Federal government facilities is a plus.
This position will involve work both at PRIZIM headquarters in Gaithersburg Maryland and at the client site in Washington, DC.
