Position Overview:
Itron has an immediate opening for an Energy Analyst who will provide technical support in specialties such as economics, energy policy, market research and statistical analysis. The individual in this position applies statistical methods and mathematical principles to the collection, analysis, and presentation of numerical data. Applies statistical knowledge to the design of surveys and experiments, collection, processing, and analysis of data, and interpretation of results.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct statistical analysis including the ability to calculate means and standard errors and to run multivariate regressions
- Analysis of data to address research questions outlined in project plans
- Manage handle multiple tasks and projects
- Assist with data management and analysis. This involves collecting data from various resources into a usable database, cleaning or modifying the data as appropriate, and performing basic statistical procedures
- Document procedures and results. This involves recording the steps taken to arrive at an end result so that results can be recreated
- Technical writing skills. Summarize results in writing. This involves drafting sections of a project report or a memorandum of results
- Communicate progress and results to other project team members. This involves describing one's work efforts in a staff meeting or formal presentation
- Assist with literature reviews. This involves researching current industry papers and reports on a specific topic and summarizing relevant findings
- Help in putting together data collection instruments, such as drafting telephone surveys
- Present data and conclusions of research to project stake holders
Qualifications:
Experience:
This position requires 2+ years of previous related professional experience.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office
- Database working experience with Access
- Working experience with Excel
- Demonstrated skills with SAS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience required. Master's degree highly preferred
