Total Reclaim is the Pacific Northwests largest recycler of electronic equipment with over 20 years of service. We utilize safe and environmentally sound methods to dismantle and recycle computers, monitors, televisions, and other electronic devices. Total Reclaim also recycles industrial, commercial, and residential appliances and refrigeration equipment and reclaims refrigerant gases as well as industrial, commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration.

Total Reclaims sister company, Ecolights Northwest, is a recycler of fluorescent and other mercury bearing lamps and a broker for the recycling and incineration of PCB and non-PCB ballasts and recycling of batteries.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an electronics repair technician to work in our Re-Use Department with excellent knowledge of computer hardware and other electronics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Test incoming electronics for working components and test computers, servers and other electronics to determine condition
  2. Make repairs to incoming electronics for resale
  3. Post advertisements including pictures online for used PC's, laptops and other electronics.
  4. Maintain accurate inventory of materials waiting for processing and shipment
  5. Neatly and accurately box and ship electronics to customers.
  6. Conduct on-site IT evaluation and create asset management proposals
  7. Build new desk top systems to specific conditions given by management
  8. Remove work stations and other technical equipment while safeguarding client networks and minimizing disruption to their business
  9. Work with Production Managers and employees to correctly segregate e-waste
  10. Quality control of all incoming electronics coming into warehouse
  11. Sort and segregate electronics into appropriate categories, identifying items suitable for re-sale
  12. Determine market value on items to be sold
  13. Assure all paperwork is properly completed and piece counts match
  14. Help keep Reuse area clean and well organized

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, electronics and components with ability to repair PC's, laptop computers and other electronics.
  • Understanding of IT lifecycle and market trends
  • Ability to test computers, laptops, printers etc for working components
  • Knowledge and experience shipping products.
  • Strong organization, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis

Monday through Friday from 8-4:30pm

Compensation: $14.00 per hour
