Whether it's constructing a utility scale solar plant, electrically connecting new wind turbine plant, or constructing and rehabilitating utility substations and transmission lines, System 3 uses expertise to execute the work. Our client list spans from many of America's investor-owned, municipal and rural co-op utilities, to renewable energy clients such as wind energy general contractors, solar project developers, and the federal government.

Position Overview
RES - System 3 LLC, a leader in the Wind, Solar and Electrical industry, is currently seeking qualified individuals for their Electrical Superintendent - Solar positions. Our Superintendents take ownership of the entire project performance including safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. This person will be responsible for direction of self-perform PV solar system crews on renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, support and lead-by-example with a safety and quality orientated attitude.
- Lead self-perform crews installing 34.5kV collection systems, including trenching, splicing, terminations, transformer installation, and grounding.
- Responsible for implementing electrical safety requirements including LOTO, arc flash, proper PPE, etc.
- Manage and lead the craft labor force, ensuring that all responsibilities are being met. Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained.
- Develop work plans, means and methods, and schedule to maximize progress in a safe timely manner.
- Ensure that necessary materials and equipment are on site to support the schedule. Advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.; assist in circumventing and resolving such problems.
- Responsible for workmanship and conformity with drawings and specifications.
- Responsible for manpower scheduling.
- Accountable for care and use of company fleet, equipment and tools.
- Completes daily and weekly written reporting of work progress and work schedule forecasts.
- Oversees and mentors foremen on technical and managerial guidance.
- Assists Project Manager in ensuring high level of customer interaction and satisfaction with customer field points-of-contact.
- Manage subcontractors' safety, quality, scheduling, change management, performance and coordination.
- Provides crews with information and correct resources necessary to complete their duties.
- Understand the budget for specific project tasks and ensure that budget expectations are met.
- Resolve complaints and grievances within field work force in a timely and proactive manner.
- Attract and recruit qualified field personnel, including local labor.
Qualifications
- This person will have at least 5 years of experience in a construction supervision role.
- Preference with be given to candidates with electrical, renewable energy, and Engineer Procure Construct contract experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize is required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Travel is required.
- Successful candidates will be self-starters that enjoy challenges and leading teams.
