Position Overview
If you are interested in being a part of this exciting opportunity, Wildlife Defense Systems, Inc., located in Camden County, GA is seeking an electrical engineer.
Under direction of senior personnel, the candidate will provide electrica engineering research/design requirements support for the assembly, test, disassembly of custom mobile trailer platforms for high technology systems including solar power, wind turbines, sound and mobile communication systems. This position combines virtual, flex hours and some in plant work.
Responsibilities
- Apply electrical engineering principles to develop designs to create production systems.
- Independently develop solutions based on design drawing requirements for failure conditions and actions required to preclude recurrence.
- Recommend appropriate electrical design options based on design requirements for the disposition of non-conforming product and support equipment hardware and coordinate the technical disposition with Management prior to coordination with material review personnel, design organizations, and customer representatives.
- Document mechanical/controls investigations in reports and provide status to group lead/Manager.
- Ensure manufacturing complies to design requirements and recommend design changes to group lead/Manager.
- Lead proofings for new design changes, documentation, equipment, processes, or capabilities as required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally or in written form. Perform complex mechanical design/research engineering functions for projects with customers, various Company divisions and appropriate contractors.
Basic Qualifications
- BSEE from an accredited college or an engineering degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters Degree.
- Considered career, or journey level.
- Education and experience in Engineering as described above in typical minimums;
- Willingness to work shiftwork & overtime; and
- Word, Powerpoint, Excel & Project computer skills.
Compensation: Salary is $50.00 /hour. Part-time 20 hours per week, position will develop into full time position.
