Description
Sauk County's Office of Conservation, Planning, and Zoning is responsible for the Land Use Planning for the unincorporated areas within Sauk County; inspecting and permitting new development and building construction; administering the State private plumbing code; and managing and administering the various Sauk County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances.
Resource conservation and protection including, soils, water, forestry, and wildlife resources through various programs including farmland preservation, soil erosion control program, priority watershed projects, wildlife damage program and information and education efforts are ongoing. The department is also responsible for hazardous waste disposal, clean sweeps and recycling efforts in the County, as well as Land management at the Health Care Center.
Position Overview:
Sauk County is eekign to hire an Educational Programming Conservation Assistant. This position will assist the Education Coordinator/Fiscal Manager with educational programs for the Conservation, Planning and Zoning Department.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in preperation of programs offered to school aged youth and adults throughout Sauk County.
- Promote natural resource management.
Qualifications:
Minimum Training and Education:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to communicate with the public/co-workers.
- Self-motivated.
- Must possess computer operation skills.
