BuildingGreen,
located in the progressive New England town of Brattleboro, VT, publishes
authoritative information on sustainable building design and construction for
building professionals throughout North America. 

Position Overview

BuildingGreen, Inc, publisher of Environmental Building News, GreenSpec, LEEDuser, and BuildingGreen.com, has an opening for an editorial intern. The flexible, full-time schedule has a $12/hour stipend. This is a twelve-month position with a Spring 2014 start date. 

BuildingGreen has a staff of 15 knowledgeable, dedicated employees whose work advances the cutting edge of sustainable building design and construction. The office environment is casual, yet professional. Visit our websites at BuildingGreen.com and LEEDuser.com to learn more.  

Responsibilities 

  • We are looking for an intern
    who can jump right in with writing and editing articles;
  • Providing both
    editorial and research support for the editorial team;
  • Keeping our resources up
    to date with changes in the LEED rating system; and
  • Updating our
    industry-leading guide to green building products.
Qualifications 
  • Requirements
    include good writing and organizational skills and a strong command of the
    English language.
  • The ideal candidate will also have a strong drive to learn
    about green building strategies and products, and a willingness to pitch in on
    our team-oriented publications.
  • Any complementary skills you bring, such as
    video editing, social media outreach, podcast production, etc, are a plus.
