Marek Landscaping, LLC, founded in 1996, is a design- build company that practices sustainable design, construction, and stewardship of the land.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and conduct:
  -Biological inventories.
  -Invasive plant species control.
  -Wetland delineations/determinations.
  -Environmental impact assessments.
  -Prescribed burns.
  -Natural resource planning projects.
  -Sediment and erosion control inspections.
  -Shoreline stabilization.
  -Aquatic plant installations and management.
• Project management.
• Data analysis and management.
• Report preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients and owners.
• Restoration and reconstruction field work including planting, seeding, & erosion control material installation.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment required for field work.

Qualifications:

• BS (MS preferred) in ecology, botany, aquatic biology, natural resource management, environmental science, biology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience conducting vegetation inventories and environmental assessments in Northern Illinois and/or Southeastern Wisconsin.
• Extensive knowledge of local plant taxonomy.
• Licensed/certified pesticide applicator or ability to obtain certification within first month.
• Certified sediment & erosion control inspector or ability to obtain certification within first few months.
• Agricultural experience a plus.
• Prescribed fire training (S-130, S-131, S-190, 2-290, S-234) or ability to start training immediately upon hire. Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Burn Boss a definite plus.

Compensation: Compensation based on experience.
