Position Overview

GoVeggie is the “OG” of the Plant-Based Cheese category! We launch the category some 30 years ago. The goal of the Eastern Regional Sales Manager (ERSM), is to manage our national UNFI relationship and to maintain and grow the Conventional, Natural and Export Channel business along the East Coast. The ERSM will lead the execution for headquarter to shelf level merchandising business within a defined geographic area and customer base. The ERSM will possess the strategic capability needed to create a winning best in class "GoVeggie experience.”

Leading and facilitating the effort of our regional broker network, distributor partner sales teams and retailer relations.  The ERSM will motivate all stakeholders and build strong relationships that will deliver long term results. It is critical this person maintains a deep knowledge of the GoVeggie’s product line with the mission to effectively impart that knowledge onto customers and consumers alike.

Job Objectives:

  • Provide broker account managers, distributor reps, and retailers with exceptional management, planning, and communications that will lead to outstanding results.
  • Lead sales & merchandising driven activities including promotion planning, implementation, optimal product assortment, store planogram compliance, proper shelf pricing & tags as well as selling opportunities for new distribution with stake holders.
  • Hold yourself accountable for delivering exceptional results while at same time apply mastery around the core business fundamentals within retail stores.
  • Become a GoVeggie Ambassador and represent the company in a way that reflects the integrity and mission of GreenSpace Brands – Better to More!

Responsibilities

Major Activities:

  • “No surprises”, weekly update to President, VP Sales and Marketing containing weekly activity reports, field efforts, account issues and resolutions, pertinent issues pertaining to customers, sales objectives and accomplishments.
  • For all accounts, plan and execute agreed upon activities, demo opportunities, store-level promotions, off shelf opportunities and any other relevant programs. If appropriate for GoVeggie to participate, coordinate all details to ensure smooth execution.
  • Identify regional trends, monitor competitors and competitive selling tools, stay in tune to industry and or customer news, and regularly report back to GoVeggie Sales and Marketing Team.
  • Stay nimble and flexible while working distributor tabletop shows, customer paperwork, or any miscellaneous territory specific task that arises.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods company; preferably in food/dairy category with an understanding of distributor, broker, and retailer sales management.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

  • Travel up to 25% of time
  • Working in retail environment, building   displays, and assisting at resets where required.
  • Requires the ability to lift and carry 25lbs.
  • Must have valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • Must be willing to comply with GreenSpace Brands personal grooming standards.

Compensation

  • Will be comprised of base salary with bonus potential, a strong benefits package, 401k, stock option program, phone and connectivity allowances.
