Director, Technology Development

SVTC provides its novel-silicon development customers access to two state-of-the-art, IP-secure development fabs - in San Jose, California, and Austin, Texas - with a full complement of 200 mm (8-inch) and 300 mm (12-inch) advanced CMOS and MEMS fabrication equipment, designed to speed the development of best-of-class solutions

SVTC supports its fab access by offering development tools, sophisticated analytics capabilities and commercialization services as needed, so customers can more rapidly translate their innovative silicon concepts into reality.

Position Overview:

Lead technology development team and main technical interface to customers.

Qualifications: 

Attributes Required to be Successful:

Interpersonal Skills:

• Ability to manage a team of technology experts for customer support and technology development.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to develop and present a technology roadmap, customer programs and lead the development team.

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in crystalline silicon development sector with cell and module background.

Professional Skills:

• Ability to manage larger programs in the technology sector.
• MSEE, PhD or related engineering degree required
• 10+ years of experience in managing people required.

Other Attributes:

• Ability to build and run an engineering team from ground-up
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to speak and present at technology conferences.

Knowledge/Skills/Training Required:

• Strong background knowledge in general about solar PV technologies (Crystalline, CdTe, aSi/uSi. CIGS)

Other Special Conditions/Requirements:

• Occasional travel will be required (20%)
• No relocation will be provided for this position.
