Position Overview

We are looking for a Director of Residential Construction to work with our team of Energy Auditors and Sales Representatives to create comprehensive work scopes and residential customer contracts that encompass whole home solutions including air sealing, insulation, HVAC upgrades, duct system upgrades, and other related services that achieve customers' goals.  

Note: This is a new position to head a new department at ecobeco. You will be responsible for creating and operating your department. You will join the ecobeco management team.

We are looking for a creative leader who will build a lean, efficient team, and will work well with the other management team members to integrate this new department into the larger organization. 

Responsibilities 

• The Director will provide project management by owning all logistics related to production. 
• The Director will supervise sub-contractors who perform the work in the home. 
• The Director will own all aspects of the sub-contractor relationship, including contract negotiations, pricing, and performance.
• The Director will develop and implement quality assurance. 
• The Director will manage resolution of customer callbacks related to work done in the home. 
• The Director will be ultimately responsible for customer satisfaction. 

Qualifications 

• 10+ years in residential construction, preferably with
  a residential general contractor, handyman, or remodeling company. At least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.  At least 3 years managing customer relationships.
• Construction Project Management and/or BPI Building
• Analyst and/or LEED Existing Home certification or similar preferred but not required.
• Experience with Home Performance best practices would
  be a strong plus. HVAC systems and/or duct system design would be a strong plus. Experience in mold, radon, lead or asbestos would also be a strong plus.
• Sales experience with customers and/or managing vendor
  relationships would be a strong plus.
• Great verbal communication skills, listening skills, and negotiation skills.
• Computer literacy required.
• Punctuality and a passion for satisfying customers' needs.
• You will need to pass a criminal background check that
  is required by Pepco before you can enter a customer's home. No felonies allowed. No violent misdemeanors allowed.
