Director of Purchasing

 

With an expected annual turnover of $100-500K in materials, the qualified candidate will be charged with improving quality, service and cost effectiveness as necessary to make Supply Chain performance a competitive advantage.

Additional responsibilities will include developing and implementing programs and contracts that are aligned with the overall initiatives of the company.

Responsibilities Include:
- Segment supplier base into categories (i.e. single/sole/multi-source) and develop/execute strategies that ensure a secure source of supply.
- Achieve required lead times and cost reduction targets as well as established quality and delivery targets.
- Negotiate long term supply agreements as appropriate.
- Provide the commercial framework for the development of new products.
- Support and assist in the selection and implementation of an ERP system.
- Develop and monitor supplier performance metrics that drive business results.
