Position Overview:

EnerNOC has an immediate opening for a Director of Product Management, Energy Efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and innovative candidate to leverage their expertise in enterprise software and/or business intelligence to drive a new product line for EnerNOC, significantly contribute to the growth of the company, and help energy managers transform the way the manage energy.

The position is highly entrepreneurial. The Director will be part of small team inside EnerNOC focused on the Energy Efficiency business, and be expected to be a self starter that can run with the product strategy, interact with senior executives, meet with customers, crank out a PRDs and manage a roadmap.

This is not a managerial focused position. The Director should have a roll your sleeves up approach and a demonstrated passion for solving user interaction and software as a service problems and to working tirelessly to advance an early stage product.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge with respect to product definitions, market requirements, product designs, and product strategy, roadmap and rally the organization behind this strategy.
• Work closely with EnerNOC's customers and potential customers to get feedback for new features and products
• Development of a businesses-case focused detailed roadmap and processes for feature swapping in Agile development environment.
• Managing business analyst(s) to drive feature requirements documentations

Qualifications: 

The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate:

• Superior product management instincts and broad analytical toolkit.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate usability and workflow analysis into software product design
• Experience with large scale database, data warehousing, and business intelligence applications appropriate to petabyte and larger scale environments.
• Familiarity with field data collection challenges and interaction with legacy systems
• Ability to work entrepreneurially with early stage products to drive sales
• Passion for clean technology markets

Required:

• B.S. in computer science or related disciplines.
• MBA preferred
• Proven organizational and industry leadership

Other:

• Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
