Earth Day Network is seeking a Director of Private Sector Initiatives to manage existing campaigns, relationships, and partnerships with the private sector- as well as develop new initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years experience in both the non-profit and private sectors, in roles of increasing responsibility. Ability to cultivate new relationships and partnerships, and engage diverse stakeholders while making the business case for corporate environmental stewardship. Initially, the main focus of the program will be on the Earth Day Network Corporate Challenge for water conservation and community reinvestment. The director should hold at least a masters degree. The ideal candidate will hold an MBA, and have significant experience in sustainability and environmental issues, as related to corporations and businesses. Fundraising experience required. The candidate should have management experience, proficient computer skills, and excellent communications skills. Foreign language skills a plus. Some travel will be required for this position. This position will report directly to the president.
